Cape Endeavors Welcomes Cybersecurity Leader Barry Hensley as Executive Advisor

Cape Endeavors is pleased to announce that (COL, USA Ret) Barry Hensley has joined the company as an Executive Advisor, strengthening its ability to help organizations across the Defense Industrial Base protect sensitive information, manage cyber risk, and navigate evolving federal cybersecurity requirements.

Barry brings nearly four decades of experience spanning military cyber operations, enterprise security leadership, threat intelligence and executive risk management. Throughout his career, he has advised some of the world’s largest organizations on protecting critical assets while aligning cybersecurity investments with business and mission objectives.

Barry has held numerous senior security leadership positions, including Chief Security Officer, Chief Information Security Officer, and Chief Technology and Intelligence Officer. His professional achievements include recent induction into the CSO Hall of Fame, which recognizes security leaders for their lifetime achievements and enduring contributions to the profession.

His military experience is equally distinguished. During a 24-year career in the U.S. Army Signal Corps, Barry led some of the Department of Defense’s most consequential cyber and network operations. As Director of the U.S. Army Global Network Operations and Security Center, he oversaw the defense and operation of the Army’s global network supporting more than 1.2 million users. He also played a leading role in the development of what is now U.S. Army Cyber Command.

Barry also served as the Director of Operations for Joint Task Force–Global Network Operations, Barry helped direct the security and availability of the Department of Defense Global Information Grid, protecting millions of systems across thousands of military installations worldwide.

As Executive Advisor, Barry will provide strategic guidance to Cape Endeavors’ leadership and help shape the company’s long-term vision for supporting the Defense Industrial Base. His expertise will strengthen Cape Endeavors’ ability to help organizations identify and contain Controlled Unclassified Information, implement NIST SP 800-171 safeguards, reduce compliance scope through secure enclave strategies, and maintain evidence that supports self-assessments, government reviews, and future CMMC validation requirements.
