Security Operations Manager – Customer Success

Cape Endeavors is a cybersecurity consulting firm specializing in CMMC compliance for Defense Industrial Base contractors. We help our clients navigate complex federal cybersecurity requirements and achieve certification. We're looking for a SOC Operations Manager who serves as the critical link between our security operations team and our clients.

What You'll Do

Own the client experience for our managed security services. You'll ensure our SOC delivers on commitments, drive process improvements that elevate service quality, and work directly with clients to understand their needs and manage expectations. This is a technical role—you'll need to speak fluently about intrusion analysis findings, network architectures, and cloud environments—but your primary focus is client outcomes, not internal team management.

You'll conduct regular service reviews and business reviews with clients, identify gaps between client expectations and service delivery and work with internal teams to close them, develop and refine processes that improve consistency and quality of client deliverables, translate technical findings and SOC activities into meaningful client communications, assist internal teams with scoping, onboarding, and managing client relationships, and serve as an escalation point for client concerns related to SOC services.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years in cybersecurity with hands-on experience in intrusion analysis and incident response

• Strong understanding of network architecture and cloud architecture provisioning

• Experience in client-facing roles—you're comfortable leading meetings, delivering tough messages, and building trust

• Familiarity with NIST 800-171, CMMC, and CUI handling requirements

• Process improvement mindset—you see inefficiencies and fix them

• U.S. citizenship required

 

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure Government Cloud / GCC High environments

• Background in managed security services or MSSP client delivery

• Relevant certifications (CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, or similar)
